Kimberly Fisher

Commissioner Kimberly Fisher serves as the Jasper County Treatment Court Commissioner. Commissioner Fisher was appointed on July 1, 2022 and presides over Veterans Court, Recovery (Drug) Court, Co-Occurring Disorders (Mental Health) Court, DWI Court, Jasper County Court Supervision Program, and Juvenile Diversion Programs. All of these courts are designed to give individuals who qualify an opportunity to go through an intensive court ordered treatment program rather than the normal path in the criminal justice system. Commissioner Fisher graduated from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. Prior to her appointment Commissioner Fisher was an assistant prosecuting attorney in Jasper County for 16 years. During that time, she was an active member of treatment courts and specialized in cases with juvenile victims. She also served as the Carthage municipal judge.
